Strain Gauge Training System
Item Code: RS 040
When different materials are subjected to loading, a concept called stress and strain becomes meaningful. Stress is the result of dividing the force per unit area and strain is the ratio of changes in the length of the sample to its initial length. The topic of measuring and analyzing stress and strain in objects is one of the basic topics in engineering fields. This device examines strain changes in three types of loading, tensile, torsional and bending. The tested specimens include a brass shaft for torsion testing, a PVC shaft for tensile testing, and an aluminum specimen for bending testing.
