Truss is one of the main engineering structures. Each truss consists of straight members which are connected in the joints. In general, truss members are thin, so they can laterally bear only small loads. Thus, all the loads are to be applied on the joints, not on the members themselves. The resultant of forces exerted on each end of a part will be one single force and no coupling is applied on it. This apparatus consists of parts made of PVC which are pinned together, and their length change can be measured by strain gauges.
