Variable Slope Flume (6M)

Variable Slope Flume (6M)

Item Code: RF 134

An open channel is a channel which the surface pressure of the fluid remains constant along its path, then if the fluid meets atmosphere pressure at free level it is an open channel flow. This kind of flow can be modeled in laboratory by using experimental flume. The advanced experimental flume with a closed water circuit has a cross-section of 400×400mm. The length of the experimental section is 6000mm. The side walls of the experimental section are made of glass, which allows observation of the experiments. The inlet element is designed so that the flow enters the experimental section with very little turbulence. The inclination of the experimental flume can be finely adjusted to allow simulation of slope and to create a uniform flow at a constant discharge depth.
