One of the common fluid flow measuring tools is Venturi. This unit is a device that can calculate the flow rate as well as the pressure in different parts of a Venturi. Venturi meters take advantage of less head loss than other instruments used to measure fluid flow, such as orifice. Six piezometric tubes are installed along the length of the Venturi for measuring pressure at various points. By pumping air to a collector mounted on top of the piezometers, the level of water in the piezometric tubes can easily be measured with the index which is mounted behined the tubes.
