Radial Fan
Item Code: RF 021
A radial fan is a device which takes in a medium to a drive shaft which is connected to a radial fan. The medium enters and discharges from the fan radially. The experimental unit provides the basic experiments to understand the operating behavior and the most important characteristic variables of radial fans. This unit features a radial fan with variable speed via a frequency converter, an intake pipe and a delivery pipe. The transparent intake pipe is fitted with guide plates for flow guidance and with a flow straightener to calm the air. The experimental unit is fitted with devices for pressure and temperature readings. The flow rate is measured via differential pressure measurement on the orifice plate. It is possible to replace forward and backward blades to compare their performance.
