When a fluid is pumped into a bed of particles such as glass beads, under specific conditions, the bed can behave like a fluid and exhibit fluid like characteristics like free flow under gravity. With the two columns installed on this apparatus and adjustable air and water flow rate system, the different fixed and fluidized bed experiments can be conducted.
