AC/DC Electrical Machines

AC/DC Electrical Machines

Item Code: RG 298

AC electro motors run through alternating electric current and are composed of a structure of a stator and rotor. These electro motors convert electrical power to mechanical power, rotary or reciprocating motion. Stators in DC electro motors are supplied from a external power supply which results in a current in the stator that produces a uniform electromagnetic field under the poles. The armature on the other hand is also supplied by an external power supply or the stator itself. This produces an electromagnetic field too. The interaction between the stator and armature fields creates a rotation which can then be converted to mechanical power. This training set has the capability of comprehensive training in relation to this type of machines. In this set, a three-phase asynchronous motor and a synchronous generator are coupled together. The three-phase asynchronous motor is controlled by the inverter. This equipment is based on the latest educational standard of the Ministry of Science and Technical and Vocational Universities, the unit includes the main panel, moving motor and rail for coupling the machines.
