Rotary dryers are used to dry wet powders and cakes that can be easily broken and spread. The rotary dryer consists of a rotating drum with vanes to lift the feed material and pour it on the hot air stream along the drum. Rotary dryers can be used as calciners using direct or indirect flame flow.
