Piston pumps are part a group of positive displacement pumps. The simplest type of reciprocating piston pump consists of a piston that moves in a cylinder with one inlet and one outlet valve. The cutaway models are actual fittings and components as used in real pipework installations, e.g. valves, nozzles, pumps, etc. The models are clearly laid out on base plates. A short description and a sectional view are included, so the models can also be used for technical drawing exercises.
