In many real open channels sediment transport occurs that affects the flow behavior. Normally the key component is bed-load transport. Presented unit uses sand to demonstrate important phenomena of bed-load transport in the area near the bottom. The transparent experimental section allows observation of the formation of ripples in the river bed.
